BATCHELOR'S FARM NATURE RESERVE
Batchelor's Farm comprises 33 acres of pasture land on the south side of Burgess Hill.

BEDELANDS NATURE RESERVE
The Nature Reserve consists of ancient meadows, woodland, hedgerows and ponds, covering 33 hectares

DITCHLING COMMON
Ditchling Common is a 66.5-hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-west of Wivelsfield in East Sussex. It is a country park. which is owned and managed by East Sussex County Council.

HAMMONDS RIDGE MEADOWS
Comprising five meadows, hedgerows, small areas of woodland and a heavily-overgrown pond, it commands sweeping views of the Downs beyond the trees.

MALTHOUSE MEADOWS
Meadowland, some covered with young tree plantings, and a deep pond to the rear of the large house. The Green Circle path heads north alongside Jane Murray Way.

NIGHTINGALE MEADOWS
A southern site of 15 hectares is owned by MSDC, lying to the south of Nightingale Lane.

PANGDEAN MEADOWS
Comprising three rough fields and hedgerows, the southernmost known as Grassmere Meadow, it runs parallel to Jane Murray Way, bordering privately-owned ancient woodland to the north.

THE GREEN CIRCLE ROUTE
The Green Circle is a ring of green sites around the edge of Burgess Hill. Some belong to Burgess Hill Town Council, others to Mid Sussex District Council.

VALEBRIDGE MILL POND
Is a private fishing lake, so you can't walk around it, but it's stunning from the viewing points. No facilities, it's a lake in the countryside.
